George Darnell Zanoni “Zeke,” a Silverton patriarch, passed away Thursday, September 21st, 2023, just a day after his 87th birthday. George Darnell Zanoni was born to George and Thelma Zanoni on September 20, 1936, in Silverton, Colorado. He lived in Martinez, California, from 1942 to 1945 during WWII while his father worked in Mare Island Shipyard repairing naval ships. Zeke’s younger brother…
