Montanya Distillers' van target of town enforcement action.
Silverton business owners Brice and Karen Hoskin have another dispute going with Town Hall, and this time it is not over sleds.
The Hoskins’ Empire Street rum-making venture, Montanya Distillers, was issued a notice of a sign-code violation by Silverton Code Enforcer Keith Thompson on New Year’s Eve.
The notice claims that Montanya’s utility truck was violating the town’s sign code.
“My office has received several complaints regarding the van parked on Empire Street located in front of your distillery displaying lights plugged into your building and advertising your business,” Thompson wrote in a letter to Brice Hoskin.
