It's capable of carrying a five-person crew.
Silverton Volunteer Fire Department members pose in front of the new quick response/rescue vehicle the department has purchased. Fire Chief Gilbert Archuleta said it is the first new rig the department has purchased since 1992 and is the first brand-new rescue vehicle the department has owned. The previous three had been donated to the department. Archuleta thanked the Town Council and San Juan County Board of Commissioners for making the purchase possible. The new rig can carry a 5-person crew, and is equipped to deal with hazardous materials incidents. It can carry 300 gallons of water and 30 gallons of foam.
