School board picks an architect

$11.8 million building renovation project getting started.
The Silverton School Board meets to pick an architect for the
$11.8 million school overhaul project on Thursday, March 11.

The Silverton Board of Education has picked Andrews & Anderson Architects, PC of Golden for design services in the $11.8 million renovation of the school building, gym, and site.  
Andrews & Anderson is an award-winning firm with projects throughout Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region, school officials said. It specializes in historic preservation and sustainable projects and have a varied portfolio of educational facility projects.
Some $1.2 million is budgeted for design and engineering for the school overhaul project.
