Official tells county commissioners that work to upgrade facility could get under way this summer.

A top official with a company hoping to reactivate the Pride of the West Mill in Howardsville told the San Juan County commissioners last week that he hopes to get things going yet this year.
But financial statements issued in April by Colorado Goldfields Inc., the Denver-based mining exploration company, paint a picture of a company mired in debt and struggling to survive.
