Owner of mine claim in hot water with the BLM.
The owner of a mining claim on the back side of Kendall Mountain has asked the San Juan County commissioners to intervene in a fight he is waging against the Bureau of Land Management regarding access to his property.
But the county commissioners last week refused to take the BLM to court over the issue, although they pointed out the county has its own dispute with the BLM and Forest Service regarding old county roads that cross federal land.
