As usual, Silverton plans a big bash for the Fourth of July holiday.
• Blue Ribbon Fun Run/Walk, 2, 5 or 10K, register online at ultrasignup.com,. or before t5he race from 6:30 to 7:20 a.m. at Memorial Park. Race starts at 7:30 a.m. Benefit for Silverton Youth Center.
• Parade at 10:30 a.m., followed by Fire Departments’ Water Fight
• International Rhubarb Festival at Memorial Park, including Silverton Brass Band concert, following the parade.
• Ducky Derby, Cement Creek 2 p.m.
• Old Fashioned Picnic at the American Legion Hall, after the parade.
• Fireworks after dark.
• Fundraiser for KSJC, Silverton Community Radio, 3-7 p.m., Stellar Bakery and Pizzeria. Music by SKU.
