The two candidates for county commissioner in the Nov. 2 election agreed on some things, but disagreed on others as they fielded questions from the public Tuesday night, Oct. 19, in a forum sponsored by the Silverton Standard & the Miner and KSJC — Silverton Community Radio.
Candidates for county assessor and county clerk and recorder also addressed the audience.
Unopposed for re-election are Sheriff Sue Kurtz, Treasurer Bev Rich and Coroner Keri Metzler.
The Candidates’ Night Forum was attended by about 50 people and was moderated by Donna Perino.
