Town trustee's actions were probed after a complaint by Public Works supervisor
An investigation by Town Attorney Jeffrey Robbins found no evidence to support a claim by Silverton Public Works Director Gilbert Archuleta that Town Trustee Karla Safranski was “racially motivated” in criticizing his job performance.
Archuleta filed a formal grievance with the town on Aug. 24. In September, the Town Council conducted an executive session on the matter and instructed Robbins to investigate the complaint.
The Silverton Standard obtained documents related to the case on Tuesday after the Town Council voted unanimously Monday night to waive its attorney-client privilege regarding the matter.
