Join your friends and neighbors for a Silverton tradition — the Community Christmas Dinner.
Everyone is welcome on Christmas Day, Sunday, Dec. 25, from noon to 2 p.m. at the American Legion.
Turkey and all the fixin’s are free. Guests are welcome to bring a favorite side dish or dessert to share. Sponsored by First Congregational Church, with the American Legion.

All the restaurants in town may be closed on Christmas morning, but breakfast will be available at the American Legion from 7 to 9 a.m.
The Legion Women’s Auxiliary will serve scrambled eggs, sausage and pancakes. Cost is $5. Proceeds go toward sponsoring a girl for the Girls State program.
Santa Claus coming
to town Christmas Eve
Santa Claus has announced he intends to visit the children of Silverton on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, at 1 p.m. at the Town Tree.
Mr. Claus said he looks forward to hearing from children about what they want for Christmas.

Kendall Mtn. open full time — except
on Christmas Day
Kendall Mountain Ski Area will be closed on Christmas Day. Aside from that, the ski area will be open every day through New Year’s Day, then return to its weekend schedule.
Meanwhile, the skating rink should be ready for action by the weekend.
