Mayor Terry Kerwin says he won't seek re-election.
Four Silverton Town Council seats are up for election on April 3: Mayor Terry Kerwin’s, and those of trustees David Zanoni, Jim Lindaman and “Outback” John Schertz.
Having served two full terms, Lindaman cannot seek re-election due to term limits, but he could choose to run for mayor.
Town Clerk Brian Carlson said he plans to ask the Town Council to adopt an ordinance making the April 3 election — and future town elections — a mail-ballot only vote.
Candidates interested in running for town office may begin petitioning to be on the ballot on Feb. 13.
