Romney, Santorum tied in San Juan County caucus

Each get six votes with 100 percent of the county's one precinct reporting.
 
Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney each got eight votes in San Juan County’s Republican caucus Tuesday night, Feb. 7 at the County Courthouse.
Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul each got three votes.
Statewide, Santorum defeated Romney by a margin of  26,580 votes (40 percent) to 23,097 (35 percent).
No delegates were awarded in the county caucuses.
In 2008, Romney defeated eventual nominee John McCain by a margin of six votes to five.
