The tastes of Silverton were highlighted Saturday evening on
Greene Street as various restaurants offered samples of their
cuisine in the annual event sponsored by the Silverton Area
Chamber of Commerce.
Open house this evening at school
Silverton School will host an open house Thursday, Sept. 17, from 5-6:30 p.m. to tour the school facilities and to discuss the proposed $11.2 million renovation project for the school and gym.
It’s chili tonight for Operation Link-Up
Operation Link-Up is planning a Chili Cook Off at the Bent Elbow Restaurant on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Chili entries may be submitted for a $15 fee in the fundraiser. The best chili will win $50.  
Durango Brewers is providing a keg for the event.
A Theatre Group stages ‘The Good Doctor’ 
A Theatre Group will present “The Good Doctor,” by Neil Simon, on Sept. 24, 25, 26, and Oct. 1 and 2 at 951 Greene Street at 7:30 p.m. 
The matinee on the 27th has been cancelled along with the evening performance on Oct. 3. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children and seniors. Information: www.atheatregroupo.org.
 “The Good Doctor” is set in Russia during the 19th century and written in the style of Chekhovian comedy.
 It is composed of a series of scenes in which the only connecting thread is the character of the Writer Anton Chekhov.  This delightful comedy is featuring actors Amber Moffett, Cynthia Chertos, Patrick Swonger, Whitney Simon, Kyle Roberts and Julian Roberts.
