The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is partnering with TRUE WEST Magazine to bring you True West Railfest this weekend.
True West Railfest will encompass Western-style cowboy events including the World Fast Draw Association shoot-out and competition, Native American Dancers and Heritage Train with the Southern Ute Tribe and Sky Ute Casino from Ignacio in addition to rail-related special events and excursions with visiting narrow gauge railroad equipment.
True West Railfest will still have rare and unique railroad equipment and cars as the stars of Railfest. The Denver and Rio Grande’s Galloping Goose is one rail star not to be missed. An 1875 wood-fired locomotive, the Eureka & Palisades #4, will also return.
