Halloween Party at
school gym Oct. 31
Silverton School will be
hosting a Community Halloween Party on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the school gym.
All kids and adults are wel- come from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
From 8:30 to 10 a.m., chil- dren, the party is open to sixth graders through adults.
Tickets are available in advance or at the door — ages 6 to 11, $5, and 12 and older, $7. Ticket sale support high school fieldwork in Washington.
Music, appetizers, drinks, games and cake walk will be featured, along with a costume contest for kids, with cash prizes.

Another fall flu shot and
TdaP vaccine clinic is being scheduled by the San Juan County Public Health Service on Monday, Oct. 29
The clinic will be at the Health Service offices at the old Miners Union Hospital, 1315 Snowden Street, from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Cost for the flu vaccination will be $20, or make sure to bring your Medicare card. TdaP vaccinations are free of charge!

planning a Gathering of Friends to celebrate 2012 on Wednesday evening, Nov. 2.
The event, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the MSI Mountain House, 740 Reese St., is a cele- bration of MSI’s accomplish- ments for 2012, mountains, mountain research, and a year well lived.
