Town administrator on leave

Town Administrator Jason Wells has been placed on administrative leave, according to Mayor Chris Tookey.
According to Town Clerk Brian Carlson, the action was taken by Mayor Tookey following a May 20 executive session with town attorney Jeff Robbins.
Town officials have not disclosed any reason for the action.
The Town Council held another hour-long session with Robbins Tuesday evening, May 28.
During the open council session that followed, no mention of Wells’ status was made by any town official.
“He is on administrative leave,” Tookey told the Standard after the Town Council meeting. “That’s all we’ve got.”
Wells was hired as town administrator in December 2009.
