Ross, the Old Goat at the Mine Tour, has become something of a tourist
attraction lately. After the mountain goat started hanging around the
mine entrance this spring, the mine tour crew dubbed the critter Ross
after the late John Ross, who was a guide at the Old Hundred Mine
Tour, a thespian and general character. Some have even suggested
the goat may be a reincarnation of John himself.
