A Theatre Group will be presenting a play adaptation of “The Little Prince,” and a Teen Acting Showcase this week at the Silverton School Performing Arts Center, July 24-26.
“The Little Prince” is a classic children’s tale that speaks to themes of loneliness, friendship and loss. A little man falls to earth and seeks protection for his beloved rose, who has been left alone on his planet to fend for herself.
The project has been the result of a new collaboration between ATG and the Silverton School’s Peak summer program.
ATG will also be presenting a Teen Acting Showcase directly following “The Little Prince” on Friday and Saturday evenings. Middle and high school students will showcase scenes and monologues, which they have worked on over a three-week long acting intensive.
The Little Prince runs July 24-26 at 7 p.m. in the Silverton School’s Performing Arts Center.
The Teen Showcase will run July 25-26 at 8:30 p.m. in the same venue.
