The landmark Wyman Hotel & Inn in downtown Silverton has new owners, with a $1.2 million sale closing on Dec. 30.

Shane Fuhrman, a Colorado native, said he “visited here over a decade ago and I proclaimed at that time that I was going to live here.”

Fuhrman, who was born in Colorado Springs and grew up in Evergreen, describes himself as a “retired” attorney, who practiced for some time in New York. He and his partner, Haley Morgan, who describes herself as an “entrepreneur” originally from Florida, came out to Silverton this summer and have resided here since.

“I always wanted a little hotel or bed and breakfast,” Morgan said. “We figured out how to make it happen.”
