Silverton, Colo. - Oct. 22 — Carol French, of Silverton, was issued a citation for failed to yield right of way at an intersection. This citation was the result of the investigation of a two-vehicle traffic accident at 12th and Snowden Streets. A theft was reported.
Oct. 23 — Investigated a one-vehicle traffic accident at Animas Forks. A complaint was received of young men throwing snowballs at vehicles on Greene Street; the officer could not locate the subjects to issue a citation to them. A citizen was assisted. A dog-at-large warning was issued.
Oct. 24 — Investigated a semi truck/trailer accident on U.S. 550 at mile marker 53.8. A found cell phone was turned in.
Oct. 25 — Assisted with looking for an overdue subject. A suspicious vehicle was reported and it checked out OK. A warning was issued for speeding. A stolen bicycle was reported. A citizen was assisted.
Oct. 26 — Issued a warning for a defective headlight. A semi driver was advised to park off of the highway right of way to sleep.
Oct. 27 — Carlos A. Polancodelosanto, of Newark, N.J., was issued a summons for careless driving. This summons was the result of a semi truck/trailer accident on U.S. 550 at mile marker 69. Esau Hernandez, of Ignacio, was issued a summons for no proof of insurance and failed to display registration.
Oct. 28 — Two traffic warnings were issued.
