Kendrick Keene, a local Silverton youth athlete, entered the snowboard racing circuit known as USASA Snowboard and Freeski.
Kendrick, who is 14 years old, entered into the program midway last winter through Purgatory’s program, and this past March, he finished 10th in his division out of 68 competitors at the USASA National race event at Copper Mountain.
