Nicole Barr, president of the Silverton Jamboree board, couldn’t be happier with how this year’s music festival turned out.
“We definitely had a good turnout,” Barr said. “I know we sold more than a thousand tickets.”
Barr said about 150 volunteers helped to make the festival a reality.
“We definitely made a million improvements this year from last year,” Barr said. “So we are definitely learning and trying to improve all aspects of it.”
This year’s Jamboree, the second, featured more performers and more vendors, Barr noted.
“We also elaborated on the children’s tent. A big goal of ours is to make the family tents a big part of the festival,” Barr said. “That turned out great and still we learned even more things from all of that.”
As for the festival goers and performers, they all seemed to have a good time.
“Every single performer was so thrilled to be here,” Barr said. “I didn’t get any negative feedback.
“A lot of them had never performed in Colorado before and they were amazed at the spectacular setting,” Barr said. “I think we took really good care of them too. A lot of them were surprised with all the food and lodging we provided.”
Barr said she got “lots of positive feedback from everyone who attended it too. So many said thanks, and merchants in town said thanks. I think everybody was happy.”
