Clyde Todeschi died on Dec. 30, 2007, in Phoenix, Ariz.
Clyde was born on June 13, 1929 in Mancos, to John and Margaret Todeschi. He lived his early life in Silverto.
Clyde was a veteran of the Korean War and achieved a Sergeant First Class status. In February 1955 he married Evangelina Todeschi from Silverto. Clyde and Evangelina moved to Grand Junction in 1957.
Clyde got a job as a dispatcher with the Colorado State Patrol. In 1965 they moved to Craig, Colo., where they spent the next 10 years. Clyde was awarded the “Best Dispatcher in the State of Colorado” and dispatched to Cortez in 1975. He was a senior dispatcher for the new State Patrol facility. He was a Cortez Elks Club member for over 20 years.
In 1985 Clyde retired from the State Patrol after serving 30 years. In 1987, they moved to Phoenix to retire.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Evangelina of Phoenix; his sister, Elsie Girodo of Grand Junction; his five children, Gary Todeschi of Salt Lake City, Dale Todeschi and Brian Todeschi of Phoenix, Janis Penngarthit of Seattle and Teri Martin of Spokane, Wash..
Rosary services will be held Friday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 7924 N. 59th Ave., Phoenix. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, 10815 N. 35th Ave., Phoenix.
