Last year this well-attended weekend celebration of the arts encompassed more than 30 unique activities happening around town including art workshops and demonstrations, heritage tours, live music, a maker’s market, dance/ movement & theater arts, reading/ lectures, film, a pancake breakfast and more.

20 Years Ago Fees for 911 service to hit $1.75/month Cellphone and land-line users in San Juan County will be paying an extra 75 cents a month to support enhanced 911 service, starting this summer. The Colorado Public Utilities Commission in January approved the rate increase.

On Monday, April 1st, 2024, the Town of Silverton held a ribbon- cutting ceremony at the Anvil Mountain Subdivision, and this was no April Fools joke. Town of Silverton representatives and officials, along with San Juan County Commissioners, San Juan Development Association representatives, DOLA, CDPHE, and residents, were in attendance to commemorate the ceremony.
